What it does
- A mood board of bathroom illustrations, each one labelled as our illustration after a named brand's published range. Tap the ones you like and the site tells you who makes them and which showrooms stock that look.
- A showroom directory for Malta and a separate one for Sicily. Where a showroom does not publish which brands it carries, the listing says so rather than guessing.
- Three ways to give a showroom a room to price: upload a plan, photograph a paper sketch and have the measurements read off it, or draw the room on screen and get layouts that fit, to scale.
- An assistant that answers questions about a bathroom from the site's own records, and says when something has not been checked.
- Indicative cost calculators, clearly marked as indicative, so a customer can tell whether a quote is sane.
- A Journal of sourced articles, each read by a person before it is published.
- Installs on a phone's home screen like an app, with no app store.
What we built, and why
The hard part of bathroom.mt is not the pages, it is the stockist matrix behind them: which brand is sold by which showroom, taken from each showroom's own published material and dated. Everything a customer sees is read from that record, which is why the site can say who stocks a look and can say plainly when it does not know.
The quote form is the product. Showroom names unlock when the brief is sent, and nothing leaves the customer's browser before they press send. The brief carries the picks, the room and any plan, so every showroom prices the same thing.
