A visual identity for the web
If you have a brand, we translate it for the screen: how the typefaces behave at phone size, which colours carry meaning, how much space the layout breathes with. If you do not, we design one with the site. Either way it is written down as a small design system, so every page after the first follows the same rules.
This site is an example. It is built on a design system with warm gallery paper, carbon black, one-pixel hairlines, a display face and a monospaced face, square corners and hard offset shadows instead of blurred ones, and a single orange accent taken from the hero image. Every page on made.mt follows those rules.
Copy from real facts
The words do more work than any other part of a site. We write them with you, from facts about your business: what you do, for whom, where, and what makes you the right choice. We do not invent reviews, client lists, numbers or awards, and we do not fill pages with generic text to make them look complete. A page with nothing to say is left out.
Copy is written for the people reading it first and for search second. In practice the two agree: a page that answers a real question clearly is also the page Google is looking for.
Imagery, directed
- Photography: briefed and directed so it matches the look, or your existing photos selected and prepared properly.
- Illustration and generated imagery where it helps, labelled honestly and never presented as something it is not.
- Motion used sparingly, and switched off for anyone who has asked their device to reduce motion.
- Every image sized, compressed and given dimensions, so a beautiful page is still a fast one.
Seen in the portfolio
The mood boards on bathroom.mt, kitchens.mt and tile.mt are art-directed image libraries that customers tap through to find a look, and that lead to the showrooms that stock it; the tile board filters by format, colour, finish and room. Diner.mt has an identity of its own, made for a restaurant guide rather than borrowed from the directories. Each site in the portfolio looks like itself, because each one started from a blank page.
